| policy.description | Authors can also post the AM book chapter to an open repository or academic social media site (such as Mendeley, ResearchGate or Academia.edu), or a personal or departmental website (including Facebook, Google groups, LinkedIn and Twitter), after an embargo period of 18 months for Humanities and Social Sciences books or 12 months for STEM books. All authors are required to respect the relevant embargo periods before making AMs available as an open deposit. ?An open repository is one that is freely available for anyone to access. ?In some cases, exceptions can be made to our embargo periods to meet funder mandates. We recommend that you apply a Creative Commons (CC) license to the AM version to make it clear to others how they can reuse your work.
